A team of five BTC faculty members, led by Associate Professor Dr. Faten Abdelhameed, traveled to New Zealand last week as a delegation intended to strengthen the partnership started last year between BTC and the University of Auckland College of Education and Social Work. The faculty members, in addition to Dr. Abdelhameed, included Assistant Professor Dr. Osama Almahdi, Assistant Professor Dr. Hasan Alwadi, Assistant Professor Dr. Ismail El Mahdi, and Instructor Mr. Salman Yusuf. During the visit, the team held meetings with the college leadership, including the dean, Dr. Mark Barrow, and all the associate deans. The team also visited schools in Auckland to see the role of the college in assisting school improvement. Most importantly, the visit involved collaborative research between BTC and Auckland faculty; each faculty member from BTC is partnered with a faculty member from Auckland, and together, they will publish four to five academic papers.
