Head of Initial Teacher Education Writes Film for Shaikh Isa Award for Service to Humanity

Dr. Masooma Al Mutawah, Head of the Initial Teacher Education Department of the Bahrain Teachers College, was chosen to write and film a documentary script for the winner of Shaikh Isa Award for Service to Humanity. The film will be displayed at a royal ceremony on November 12, 2019, with the honor of attendance of His Majesty King Hamad Bin Issa Al Khalifa, His Royal Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, the Honorable Prime Minister, and His Royal Highness Crown Prince Shaikh Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The event is expected to bring dignitaries from around the world. The Shaikh Isa Award is an honor to His Majesty the King’s father, Shaikh Isa; it serves to recognize special human service to humanity from any sector of the world. This year, the board of trustees of the award, chaired by His Highness Shaikh Mohamed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa, decided to grant the award to the Edhi Foundation of Pakistan. This was announced at a press conference on the 30th of June in the Qudaibiya Palace in Manama. Dr. Al Mutawah also wrote the script of the film produced by the Supreme Council for Women in the celebration of Bahrain’s Women’s Day in 2018, which was about the women in municipal and legislative work.
