I welcome you as we celebrate the graduation of the 5th and 6th batches students of Bahrain Teachers College which embodies the belief of the wise leadership that education is the future of Bahrain and that the daughters and sons of Bahrain are its true and sustainable wealth.
On my own behalf and on behalf of all the affiliates of the University of Bahrain, I have the honor to extend to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khalifa our great thanks and gratitude for his continued patronage of the College and the continued interest in this seed, the harvest of which we are reaping today. I also extend my thanks and appreciation to His Excellency the Minister of Education and the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the University of Bahrain, Dr. Majid bin Ali Al Nuaimi for his follow-up and interest in all the stages of teacher preparation and training.
A short time ago, Bahrain Teachers College was inaugurated as one of the main initiatives of the National Project for Education and Training Development. The College was intended to be a central station for education development in the Kingdom and this has already come true.
Today, the College is about to celebrate its 10th anniversary. In this short period of time following its establishment, the College has been an intensive dynamic workshop culminated in qualifying thousands of new teachers and enriching the knowledge of the experienced teachers in terms of development, professionalization and leadership.
Today the College is graduating a group of students to put their touch on education and its future in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
One of the reasons to count on the outcomes of the College is the encouraging reports frequently received from school principals lauding the graduates of the College and their success in applying non-traditional teaching methods in line with the latest developments in this area. This is one of a group of indicators invoking reassurance and achieving the ultimate goal of improving the quality of education in its fundamental stages.
In order to achieve the abovementioned objective, the College has held partnerships with international educational institutions and endeavored through faculty members to consolidate the culture of scientific, educational and procedural research. This aims to prepare the teacher of the 21st century who has the necessary competencies and eagerly seeks to apply in the classroom science, knowledge and skills he has acquired.
I would like to remind graduates that they are the Bahrain's bet on the future as they are the best means to achieve the objectives of Bahrain Economic Vision 2030 as we are on the road to development and prosperity. I congratulate you and your families on your success. I also congratulate Bahrain on your success and congratulate the generations of youngsters who will be under your responsibility.
I would also like to remind you that prior to education, your mission is to inspire and refine the souls and minds of a proud Arab Bahraini generation who take pride in their identity, open up to the world, build the nation and the mind, contemplate, embrace hope and inspires others. In this regard, I would like to pay tribute to the academic and administrative staff of Bahrain teachers College for their hard efforts and high level of work in order to consolidate inherent educational standards and values in tomorrow's teachers which have turned past ambitions into a reality with clear manifestations in this generation we are celebrating today and the professional, practical and impressive results achieved by the College.
