Continues Working Toward Digital Empowerment through New School Partnerships
May 2, 2019
In a recent visit by Dean Dr. Ted Purinton and
ICT Instructor Ms. Fatima Al Shaer to the Hidd Intermediate Girls School, a
closer linkage was shaped for the college with schools in the Ministry of
Education that are showcasing the various digital tools through the Ministry.
Hidd Intermediate Girls School, for example, is currently utilizing many
innovative digital tools and integrating them across the curriculum. The school
principal, Ms. Aysha Al-Shayji, expressed her desire that all students of the
school have confidence as speakers, presenters, and knowledge creators; Ms.
Al-Shayji indicated that this is best done through comprehensive ICT efforts in
all areas of the curriculum. The BTC is currently engaged in its own digital
transformation plan to ensure that all its graduates are ready for highly
productive schools, such as Hidd, on their first day on the job as teachers.
